GUWAHATI: The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) for the NF circle has successfully completed the statutory inspection of the newly laid double line between Changsari and Agthori stations on December 26, 2023.
The primary focus of this inspection was to ensure the safety and efficiency of all railway infrastructure in the designated section, which is part of the New Bongaigaon – Agthori via Rangiya 142.97 km doubling project. The ongoing work on the Changsari – Agthori section is integral to the larger doubling project, encompassing 75 major bridges, 38 minor bridges, and the construction of 19 new station buildings.
The 7.48 km stretch between Changsari and Agthori includes the construction of 11 minor bridges. CRS/NF circle meticulously inspected various elements, including bridges, railway track fittings, P-way assets, electronic inter-locking, relay rooms, cabins, level crossings, and stations within the section.
With the successful laying of the double line, trains will now be able to move in both directions without stop-over crossings at stations.
