GUWAHATI: IndiGo barred stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra for six months for allegedly heckling journalist Arnab Goswami onboard a flight on January 28.
According to reports, in a video which went viral on social media, comedian Kunal Kamra was seen asking a series of questions while the anchor sits with his headphones on in a flight from Mumbai to Lucknow.
IndiGo on its offical Twiiter handle wrote, "In light of the recent incident on board 6E 5317 from Mumbai to Lucknow, we wish to inform that we are suspending Mr. Kunal Kamra from flying with IndiGo for a period of six months, as his conduct onboard was unacceptable behaviour."
Meanwhile reacting to this the Stand Up Comedian took a jibe at the airline and sarcastically wrote, "Thank you Indigo a six month suspension is honestly very kind of you...Modiji might be suspending Air India forever."
