India Set to Open World’s Largest Cricket Stadium

GUWAHATI: The world's largest cricket stadium is being built in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Sardar Patel Stadium is being built at a cost of Rs 700 crore and has a seating capacity of 1.10 lakh.

With this, it has surpassed the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a capacity of 1 lakh people. The Sardar Patel Stadium is set to open in March 2020.

The exhibition match between Asia XI and World XI in March 2020 is likely to be the first match to be played in the stadium, as per ANI.
