India’s Raghunath Chandorkar Becomes Oldest Surviving Cricketer in the World

After the demise of the world’s oldest living first-class cricketer, Alan Burgess, the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) had announced on 6th of January that Raghunath Chandorkar has become the world’s oldest surviving cricketer.

Raghunath Chandorkar, who had starred in seven first class games for Maharashtra and Mumbai, turned 100 in November last.

Chandorkar played for Maharashtra between 1943-44 and 1946-47. He later played for Bombay in 1950-51. The wicket-keeper batsman had scored 155 runs in seven games.

The great legend was born in Karjat in the year 1920, and is the third Indian cricketer who completed a century of birthdays.
