Guwahati has been chosen for the launch of India’s first-ever Air Ambulance Service.
The said service will be launched on November 16th in presence of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Same deployment of aircraft will be followed by more launches in non-metro cities like Raipur, Patna, Kochi, Surat and Vishakhapatnam respectively.
The Flaps Aviation Private Limited is all geared to launch the Pan-India Air Ambulance service for the first time in the country here.
As per reports, initiatives are also being taken by the Flaps Aviation through tie-ups with paramedics, doctors and pharmacies to make this service more patient oriented.
To operate its air ambulance services, the company plans to use five Beechcraft King Air C-90 (twin engine,turbo prop) under its own-schedule operator’s permit. At present it has two C-90s while one more, they are being acquiring very soon. The aircraft will be stationed at the respective state airports where the company will operate.
A membership program is also being initialized by the company to enable patients to avail its air ambulance service at subsidized rates. For this purpose, the company is chalking out partnership tie-ups with state governments, corporate organizations, NGOs and so on.
Meanwhile, the respective state governments are also being requested to integrate the company’s toll free number with ‘108’.
