GUWAHATI: A routine trip to the market turned into a nightmare for a man on Satgaon-Baghorbori Road in Guwahati when he was robbed of ₹60,000 near Nowapara on February 5.

A police team from Satgaon Police Station nabbed the four accused individuals after a long chase. The individuals are namely Rahim Ali (24), Saheb Ali alias Shahjahan (27), Rocky Hussain alias Dhan (23), and Mintu Ali (23).
The gang had planned their getaway in an SUV with registration no- AS01EE8220, but their escape attempt was thwarted by the authorities.
The police teams cast their net wide, tracking the suspects across multiple locations. One was found hiding in Basistha, another was tracked to Hajo, while the remaining two attempted to evade capture in Mukalmuwa. The chase spanned from bustling city streets to remote hideouts, but the officers, determined to bring the culprits to justice, eventually apprehended all four suspects. The accused are now in custody, and further investigations are underway to determine any broader criminal connections.
