Organised by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Earth Sciences, in collaboration with Vijnana Bharati, the science movement has aimed to celebrate science inclusively since its inception in 2015.
Ahead of the main event, a curtain raiser organised by the CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) was held on Tuesday at Vivekanand Hall, Pusa Campus, to inform and engage students and the scientific community. Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director of CSIR-NIScPR, was present to welcome the attendees, highlighting the significance of the festival.
Aggarwal shared that IISF 2024 will feature innovative exhibits, including a replica of the moon, which promises to captivate young participants, particularly students, and serve as an inspirational focal point at the festival.
The inaugural event also included a promotional video outlining IISF’s objectives and planned highlights. The 2024 edition will focus on promoting STEM education, inspiring innovation, and showcasing India’s scientific achievements.
