Income Tax Department raids the premises of President of Kamrup Chambers of Commerce, Mahavir Jain.
Mahavir Jain is a known cement tycoon in the Northeast and was also the President of the Digambar Jain Panchayat, Guwahati.
Mahavir Jain previously also contested the Rajya Sabha MP polls with the support of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF). Jain also claimed to enjoy support of BJP and AGP MLAs, besides BPF, and dissident Congress and AIUDF MLAs.
