Chairman of Regional District Authority (RTA) DC, Kamrup (M) Dr M Angamuthu in a meeting on road safety held on Tuesday, ordered Addl Deputy Commissioner P. P Bora to prepare a report within 7 days on the accident prone areas of the city and to find out proper measures to attend those. According to the PWD Roads, there are 10 numbers of Black Spot on the GS Road itself.
He also ordered GMC to regulate the bus stoppages of the city.
Considering the rising cases of drunken drive in the city, the DC has ordered stern action action the wrong doers. The DC has also ordered to cancel the license of the riders caught in the case of drunken drive.
A resolution was also taken to put reflector on the median, to illuminate the road from Jalukbari to Sonapur and to smoothen the main road of the city. The DC also entrusted PWD to put silence zone signages on the important places of the city.
