GUWAHATI: Assam Finance and Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, inaugurated a COVID-19 testing facility at the Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH).
The lab will function from today. With this, Assam currently has 12 such facilities in the state.

Further, Sarma stated that another lab is to become operational at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury (MMC) hospital in the next 10 days.
Till now 40,770 tests have been done in Guwahati.
A 3D tech digital mammography with tomosynthesis has also been installed at the GMCH.
