GUWAHATI: Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with the entire team of state Health department including principal secretary Samir K Sinha paid a sudden visit to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on June 27.
The visit was arranged to get a first-hand understanding of problems faced by patients, faculty members and administration.

During his visit, which started at 9:30 AM and lasted till 2 PM, Himanta interacted with the patients and their relatives.
According to reports, Himanta instructed the officials concerned to utilise the government funds and provide facilities to improve the quality of services being offered.
