GUWAHATI: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is reportedly scheduled to arrive in Silchar, Assam, on Wednesday afternoon to lead an election rally.

According to reports, she will campaign for Radheshyam Biswas, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Karimganj. Banerjee is expected to address the public at the Town Club field around 12 PM before returning to Kolkata.

Assam TMC President Ripun Bora said while talking to the media earlier today, “She’ll Reach Kumbirgram Airport at around 12 PM and will come to Silchar by Road. A huge Motorcycle Rally has been organised to welcome Mamata Didi from the Airport where thousands of TMC Workers will Participate.”
As per reports, she is en route to the designated Town Club, where TMC party members and workers along with public have gathered for the meeting.
