GUWAHATI: As on May 29, Assam saw the largest spike in COVID positive cases with the state recording 177 new cases in the last 24 hours.
With this rise in numbers, the state has 1057 coronavirus positive cases of which 925 are active.
Among all districts affected in the state, Kamrup Metropolitan happens to be the worst affected, with 313 cases of which 242 are active, as per data released by Government of Assam on its official COVID-19 advisory website.
According to the latest tweet by State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma made at 11:59 PM, May 29, 33 new cases of Coronavirus were identified of which 11 were from Golaghat, 11 from Biswanath Chariali, 9 from Udalguri and 2 were from Darrang.
