GUWAHATI: Assam police seized 532.46 grams of heroin worth ₹3.5 crore concealed in secret compartments of a vehicle in an anti-drug operation conducted on Friday, December 27.

“Worth ₹3.5 crore, hidden in secret chambers,” Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared an update of the drug-bust on X. “Good job @assampolice #AssamAgainstDrugs.”
The contraband was recovered following the interception of the vehicle and apprehension of an individual based on prior intelligence.
Even though the illicit substances were meticulously hidden, a thorough search by the police revealed their presence.
This operation was carried out by the Nagaon police.
