GUWAHATI: The Assam government has announced the launch of a Mutual Transfer Portal for its employees, which will be operational from January 1 to February 28.

This initiative was announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a Facebook live session on Friday, December 27.
The portal has been designated to allow employees to apply for mutual transfers within the same department and pay scale, in a bid to streamline the transfer process.
It has also been designed to ensure transparency and efficiency. Employees can submit their applications through the platform, and transfers will be finalised upon mutual acceptance by the concerned parties.
The government has encouraged employees to seek guidance from experienced colleagues, particularly those involved in initiatives like the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, to navigate the application process.
