12-Foot King Cobra Rescued From Garage In Assam's Barak Valley

 

GUWAHATI: A 12-foot-long king cobra weighing 8 kg was rescued from a garage in the Panibora area of Cachar district, Barak Valley, on December 27.

The Barak Valley Wildlife Division received a call around 2 PM about the snake, which had entered the garage, creating panic among locals. A rescue team in the division responded immediately. 

Talking to GPlus, a forest official from Barak Valley Wildlife Division said, “It took us two hours of hard work to safely rescue the king cobra. The operation was a great team effort." 

After the successful rescue, the snake was released into its natural habitat.
