GUWAHATI: Heroin along with other narcotics and illicit items were seized in Saukuchi, Guwahati on Monday, June 10, along with the apprehension of the persons involved in the peddling.

A team from Gorchuk police station under West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) arrested one Md Jun Ali with suspected heroin weighing 26.05 gram yesterday, June 10.
Further probe led to the arrest of three more persons involved namely Md Idul Ali (28), Md Idul Ali (26), & Md Santu Ali (27), all from Barpeta after a raid in their rented room at the Dakhigaon area of Guwahati.

This led to the recovery of 10 vials of suspected heroin, 313.94 gram of cannabis, two stolen laptops, five stolen mobile phones, one motorcycle & ₹10,000 in cash along with empty vials. Further details are awaited as investigations are underway.
