Low-lying areas such as Sonapur, Chandrapur, and Dispur Circle are at risk of waterlogging and flash floods and the intense rain spells may cause occasional reduction in visibility, the IMD stated.

Traffic disruptions are also expected due to waterlogged roads and uprooted trees, leading to an increased travel time.

Furthermore, the IMD has also warned of landslide risk in Amching Hill, Kharghuli Rasa Hill, Khanapara Koinadhora Garbhanga Hill, Kamakhya, Geetanagar Hillside, Baghorbari-Botahghuli, Panjabari, Nengerabari, Madhghariva, Santipur, Amerigog, Matiya Pabar and other surrounding hillside areas.

Citizens have been asked to avoid traveling to waterlogged areas and to refrain from staying in vulnerable and landslide-prone zones.
