This year marks the golden jubilee for the committee, and they have decided to celebrate in grand style.

Talking to GPlus, a member from Natunbasti Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee in Aryanagar said, "Since this is our golden jubilee of celebrating Durga Puja, we are excited and we are going to showcase a mysterious set adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling's popular children's novels about Harry Potter,” the member said. “The story revolves around a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards."

The decision to choose a Harry Potter theme came after a thorough selection process. "Initially, we shortlisted five themes," the committee member explained. "We picked this Harry Potter theme because everyone can relate to this series, which has changed our lives. It appeals to both the young and the old, bringing a sense of magic and wonder to our celebrations."

The budget allocated for this year’s pandal is ₹ 25 lakhs.
