GUWAHATI: A student from Geetanagar College allegedly died by suicide on Monday, March 3, around 8:30 AM, within the campus. The deceased has been identified as Sandipshna Raj, a resident of Silpukhuri.
According to a source from the college, there were conflicting accounts of the incident. "An employee of the college said that she jumped from the first floor, but we found her bag on the terrace. It is not confirmed how the incident took place," the source said.
Speaking to GPlus, an official from Geetanagar police station stated, "We were informed that a girl was injured, later GMCH declared the student's demise. We have sent a team to investigate."
