GUWAHATI: Assam Police and Meghalaya Police apprehended an individual on charges of theft near Meghalaya.
The suspect Sunil Kumar Jha was involved in the theft of ₹4 lakh from Umling Petrol Pump in Nongpoh, Meghalaya.
The arrest was carried out by officers from Basistha Police Station in Beharbari, Assam. Following due procedure, the accused was handed over to Khanapara Police Station under Meghalaya Police for further investigation.
Further legal proceedings are underway.
