GUWAHATI: A water pipe connecting Guwahati’s NS Road with Arya College Road burst on Sunday, April 20, resulting in damage to the road and nearby vehicles.

A resident of the area, speaking to GPlus, said, "I was taking an afternoon nap when I heard a bursting sound. I ran out of my house and saw people rushing.”
“A pipe in my area reportedly burst, damaging the road and the vehicles parked nearby," the resident added.
Meanwhile, a shopkeeper in the area said, "My wife called me out, saying that a pipe had burst, causing severe damage. We immediately contacted the contractor and urged him to stop the water flow."
When contacted, the Guwahati Jal Board, while expressing regret, said that they would look into the matter soon and begin the repair work.
