GUWAHATI: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a seven-day weather forecast for Guwahati, indicating generally cloudy skies with intermittent rain and thundershowers, a typical monsoon pattern for the region. This forecast is effective from Saturday, June 15, and extends through June 21.

7-Day Forecast:

•    June 15: Guwahati will experience a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.
•    June 16: Expect more cloudy skies with intermittent rain.
•    June 17: The trend continues with likely rain or thundershowers under a cloudy sky.
•    June 18: Rain and thundershowers are expected with continued cloudiness.
•    June 19: Similar weather with rain and thundershowers likely.
•    June 20: The city will remain under cloudy skies with potential rain or thunderstorms.
•    June 21: The pattern persists with few spells of rain or thundershowers.

•    The maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 30.6°C.
•    The lowest temperature recorded yesterday was 25.4°C.
•    Guwahati recorded 23.4 mm of rainfall yesterday and 12.2 mm as of 8:30 AM today.
•    Overall, the total rainfall this year is 387.6 mm.
•    The highest maximum temperature recorded this season was 36.4°C on June 7.
•    The lowest minimum temperature noted this season was 22.5°C on June 3.
