GUWAHATI: An unidentified dead body was recovered by Kamakhya Railway Police in the Bhootnath area of Guwahati on the night of 7th December.

The person was run over by a train between 12:30 am and 1 am, and was found by railway police personnel during routine patrolling of the tracks. The body was found in railway kilometre no 6/6-7.

Mahesh Baishya, Incharge of Kamakhya Railway Police told G Plus, "We have sent the body for post mortem to GMCH, where it will be kept for 72 hours before being cremated by authorities."
The deceased is reportedly a male of around 40 years of age. "He seems to be from a middle-class household," said Baishya
