GUWAHATI: In a significant development on August 10 at approximately 1:45 AM, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Police Department, in conjunction with officers from the North Guwahati Police Station, apprehended a truck allegedly transporting a substantial quantity of agricultural substance in Amingaon.
The seized vehicle was found to be transporting a substantial quantity of IFFCO urea, a controlled agricultural substance.
What makes this discovery even more astonishing is the method employed to conceal the contraband. The bags of IFFCO urea were cleverly hidden beneath a cover of onion sacks, as per reports.
The driver of the truck, identified as Md Ajijul Shikdar hailing from Hafsachor in Barpeta district, failed to produce any valid or legal documents substantiating the legitimacy of the cargo.
Consequently, a case has been promptly registered at the STF Police Station, and requisite legal procedures have been initiated against the accused. Further details are awaited.
