The newly constructed foot over-bridge located in Dispur, Khanapara and Kamakhya road areas of Guwahati are set to be operational soon. Sources close to the Public Works Department (PWD) have revealed to G Plus that the foot over-bridge is expected to be operational from February 14.
The construction of the escalator-assisted foot over bridge is almost completed. As per sources, the final nod is awaited from the higher end of the Assam government.

However, there is still no clarity as to when the remaining foot over-bridges that are currently under construction will become operational.
Earlier, two escalator-assisted foot over-bridges were made operational at GS Road, Guwahati near Christian Basti and ABC point.
