A restaurant was looted in the Hengrabari area of Guwahati on the night of February 18. Two thieves looted the shop of cash amounting to Rs 38,000, a laptop, a cylinder, and some utensils. This was told to G Plus by the proprietor Saurabh Kalita. The shop is located at Hengrabari area of Ganeshguri, Guwahati.
The incident was caught on CCTV, and the footage has been collected by G Plus.
In the footage, it can be seen that one of the thieves fell asleep while looting the restaurant. A man, wearing red, took a nap in the cash counter and even slept on the floor of the restaurant.
The owner stated that the thieves were in an intoxicated state leading to such actions. The owner has also named Bhaskar Baruah and Bharat Rajbonshi in connection with the loot.
The Dispur Police Station (PS) has confirmed the loot. G Plus spoke to Prafulla Das, Officer in Charge (OC) who confirmed the development. "We are investigating the matter," he told G Plus.
