GUWAHATI: A team from Basistha police station under the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD), arrested a thief identified as Pupul Ali (29) from Barpeta, on Tuesday, September 17.

During the operation, a substantial haul of suspected stolen items was seized from Ali's possession, which included:
- 1 two-wheeler
- 1 mobile handset
- 2 gold mangalsutras
- 6 gold bangles
- 3 silver anklets
- 2 gold earrings
- ₹150,000 in cash
Further investigation and legal proceedings against the accused have been initiated.
