GUWAHATI: In a successful operation, the Palashbari Police Station apprehended two bike lifters who were involved in a bike theft today.
The suspects have been identified as Toufik Ali and his associate Kamal Kalita.
Speaking to the SI of Kamrup Rural Police Station, it has been revealed that Toufik Ali was a registered bike lifter.
The incident occurred between 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM and due to the swift response of the police they recovered the bike which was bearing the license number AS01-DJ-0595 from Barihat in Palashbari.
Toufik Ali and Kamal Kalita are currently in police custody, awaiting formal charges and further legal proceedings, as per official information.
