GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), Assam apprehended two individuals in connection to alleged bribery to rectify a complainant’s HSLC Certificate on Friday.
The individuals identified to be Syed Arisuddin Ahmed, Assistant Superintendent of the Registered Branch at SEBA (Board of Secondary Education, Assam) and Dina Bandhu Kalita, the In-Charge Superintendent, Guwahati, who were arrested after Ahmed was caught red-handed accepting a bribe in collaboration with Kalita with the alleged intention of rectifying a complainant's HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) certificate.

“In the same trap operation, Dina Bandhu Kalita, I/C Superintendent, Registration Branch, SEBA, New Ghty. has also been apprehended for demanding bribe and accepting it through his Assistant Syed Arisuddin Ahmed, in conspiracy with him,” the other post read.
