GUWAHATI: Residents of Guwahati have shown concern over the sudden hike in prices of cooking gas cylinders. The price of Non-Subsidised LPG cylinder has reached Rs 868. The price has risen by Rs 25 in the recent hike.
Cooking gas prices have been rising since December. Rates have cumulatively gone up by Rs 100 per refill since the last one month.
The consumers of the LPG cylinders have been agitated by the hike.
This has even led to a spat between the delivery boys of the gas agencies and the customers.
"Our agency people have to face the brunt of the anger the customers feel towards this hike. But we are not increasing anything as the rates are fixed by the company," said Prithwi Dutta of Hangsha Gas Agency.
