GUWAHATI: In a recent operation carried out based on credible intelligence, a team from the Special Task Force (STF) conducted a successful raid today at the parking area of Guwahati Railway Station, falling under the jurisdiction of Panbazar Police Station. The operation resulted in the apprehension of 12 individuals suspected of drug peddling, including four women.
During the operation, all 12 suspects were caught red-handed, and the authorities seized a substantial quantity of suspected heroin, consisting of 104 vials, along with 275 empty vials. In addition to the drugs, a sum of ₹45,000 in cash was confiscated, as well as two scooters, five mobile phones, syringes, and various other materials associated with illegal drug distribution.
The apprehended individuals and all seized items will be handed over to the City Police for further legal actions and investigations.
