Minor Apprehended In Guwahati’s Khanapara After Fleeing With Loot From Titabor Satra

 

GUWAHATI: A police team from Dispur Police Station apprehended a child in conflict with law (CCL) near an under-construction building in Khanapara, Guwahati on Thursday, April 10. The minor, originally from Dhemaji, had been on the run after allegedly stealing valuables from the historic Bhugpur Satra in Titabor.

The minor fled after failing his Class X examinations. Before disappearing, he reportedly looted several sacred items from the Satra. A probe into the incident led authorities to the minor’s location in Khanapara.

Upon apprehension, the police recovered ₹29,153 in cash, three gold rings, a small gold belpat, and various pieces of silver and copper from the minor’s possession.

The operation was carried out in coordination with Titabor Police Station. The child has since been shifted to a Children Care Home as further investigation continues.
