GUWAHATI: The premises of the Guwahati Press Club were closed down on June 23 after the wife of an executive committee member tested positive for COVID 19.
The Press Club will remain shut for the next 7 days as a preventive measure.

Speaking to G Plus, the general secretary of Guwahati Press Club, Sanjoy Ray said, "Post the detection of the case we have urged all our members as well as employees to get a COVID-19 test done."
Further, all the programmes and the events scheduled for the week have been cancelled and thorough sanitization of the premises will be done at an appropriate time.
