GUWAHATI: In the second match of the Guwahati Premier Football League (GPFL) today, there was an intense clash between Deka Bricks Industries (DBI) and Young Amateur Club (YAC) as they aimed to secure crucial points in the league table.
Young Amateur Club emerged victorious, defeating DBI with a final scoreline of 4-2.
Brojen Mushahary of Young Amateur Club netted two goals in the 17th and 58th minutes, while Jitu Ahmed added to the tally with a goal at the 19th minute. Rakesh Das sealed the victory with a goal in the 45th minute.
DBI, though trailing, managed to make a comeback with late goals. Sudeepta Konwar found the back of the net at the 82nd minute, and Lungouhao Hangshing added another goal in the 85th minute.
The top performer of the match was Brojen Mushahary from YAC earning him the Player of the Match award. Swan Thapa, Former International Football Player, presented the trophy and a cash award of ₹2100.
Looking ahead, football enthusiasts can anticipate another exciting match tomorrow between GPlus Athletic and Food Corporation of India(FCI). The kick-off is scheduled for 2:45 PM in the Judges Field, Guwahati.
