Guwahati Premier Football League: Nightmare For FCI As DBI Wins 10-1

 

GUWAHATI: In a shocker at Judges' Field on December 29, Deka Bricks Industry (DBI) dominated the Guwahati Premier Football League, crushing Food Corporation of India (FCI) with an impressive 10-1 victory, in the first match of the day. 

DBI's Donbak Lyngdoh stole the show with a stellar performance, netting goals in the 14th, 28th, 41st, and 62nd minutes, showcasing his exceptional skills on the field.

Adding to DBI's triumph, Monjit Taro secured goals at the 19th and in injury time at 90+5 minutes, while Robert Khongjoh, Bishnu Bordoloi, and Apboriang Turbah also found the back of the net at the 24th, 33rd, and 50th minutes, respectively. FCI's lone goal came from Narayan Rabha in the 79th minute.

The standout player of the match was named as Donbok Lyngdoh of DBI, earning him the trophy and a cash award of ₹2100. The accolade was presented by Bijoy Sonowal, Former Santosh Trophy Football Player from Assam.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues on December 30 at Judges' Field with Pride East Mavericks facing off against ASEB Sports Club at 2:45 PM, followed by Oil India Limited taking on Barekuri FC at 5:00 PM.
