GUWAHATI: Acting on undisclosed intelligence, a joint operation led by Inspector in Charge (IC) of Jalukbari Police Outpost (OP) conducted a raid on a rented room located in Adil Shah Gali, Katiya Dalang Jalukbari. During the operation, authorities discovered broken mobile phones and various mobile phone components.
The investigation revealed that the rented room served as a hub for illicit activities involving stolen phones and related items. The room was reportedly under the control of Ahuj Ali, a resident of Murshidabad, West Bengal.
Ali's role involved receiving stolen phones and other items, which were subsequently disassembled within the room. He has been taken into custody, and further legal procedures are underway.
This successful operation by the West District Police has dismantled a criminal network involved in the reception of stolen and snatched mobile phones.
