GUWAHATI: Guwahati police apprehended two individuals attempting to transport suspected stolen property. Bishnu Das (31) of Longai and Raja Kalita (33) of Baghmara were intercepted while moving 10 large iron bars in a truck on Wednesday, December 18.

Following their arrest, the police conducted a thorough search of a nearby dump yard located near Cycle Factory. The search led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of stolen items, including 40 kilograms of copper wire, brassware, 30 kilograms of air-conditioning pipes, sanitary fittings, household utensils, and various workshop materials.
The investigation also resulted in the arrest of two additional suspects, Saijuddin (45) of Kasomara and Nazir Ali (38) of Fakirganj, in connection with the stolen goods.
Further investigation is underway.
