GUWAHATI: An enforcement team from the Bhagaduttapur Outpost of Dispur Police Station, falling in the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD), successfully apprehended an individual involved in the possession of stolen mobile phones.
The suspect, identified as Sukumuddin (23) of Kalgasia, was taken into custody following the recovery of three stolen mobile phones from his possession.
Guwahati Police took to X to put out a statement, which read, “An EGPD team from Bhagaduttapur OP of Dispur PS arrested one Sukumuddin (23) of Kalgasia after recovering 3 stolen mobile phones from his possession. Legal action initiated. @CMOfficeAssam @himantabiswa @assampolice @gpsinghips”
The legal process against the suspect has been initiated, and further investigations are underway.
Guwahati has seen a rise of petty crimes in the city.
