GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet has decided to construct a state-of-the-art Open Stadium at the Amingaon Sports Complex, as announced by the Assam Chief Minister yesterday.
The State Cabinet has approved a budget of ₹380.66 crore for the construction of the Open Stadium, inside the Amingaon Sports Complex, which will have a capacity of 20,000 people.

The Stadium will also feature facilities for accommodation, including a 20 seater accommodation for international coaches and a 20 seater accommodation for National Coaches, along with 2 separate 96 seater player hostels for boys and girls.

Yesterday, the State Cabinet also approved the allocation of ₹131.71 crore for the Rang Ghar Beautification project in Sivasagar, at the proposed site of Rupohi Pathar, on the Northwestern side of Rang Ghar on a plot of land measuring around 83 Bighas 2 Katha.
