GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), Assam seized suspected heroin along with the apprehension of an individual allegedly in possession of the substance on January 19 in Beltola.
In the operation conducted by STF near Beltola Bazar under the jurisdiction of Basistha Police Station, the authorities seized a four-wheeler containing 13 vials containing 16.9 gram of suspected Heroin, ₹5750 in cash, and two stolen mobile phones.
The raid also resulted in the apprehension of the individual allegedly involved in drug peddling and veteran theft activities. The apprehended individual has been identified as Md. Deyarul Hoque (42 yrs) from Kahilipara. The vehicle in the smuggling has also been seized by the authorities.
The apprehended will face charges related to drug possession, theft, and any other offenses identified during further investigation. Legal proceedings have been initiated and further details are awaited.
