GUWAHATI: The New Ganeshguri flyover extension from Zoo Road in Guwahati has created concern for the public regarding the sharp turn from the earlier constructed flyover.
Meanwhile, the PWD has constructed double-layered speed breakers at the junction as a safety measure. This has been criticised by observers for causing more harm than safety.
G Plus spoke to Pranab Rabha, Executive Engineer, PWD Dispur who stated that "These are bar markings which are warning for the traffic and not just speed breakers. We have to warn the traffic."

On the issue of having a smaller area for the turn, which has been considered risky, the PWD official said that, "We could have constructed a bigger lane but the space below was less for our columns."
