Guwahati: New Flyover at Maligaon Chariali Connecting Kamakhya Temple Soon

GUWAHATI: Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced the construction of a new flyover in Guwahati. 


The said flyover will connect the new road that is currently under construction at the Nilachal hill to the main road. This will facilitate easy transportation of commuters from the Guwahati Airport to the Kamakhya Temple.


The flyover will be 4 km long and constructed at an overall cost of Rs. 321 crore 41 lakh.


Upon its construction, the present road to Kamakhya temple from the foothills will be available for traffic commuting from the Bharalumukh side. The traffic from the airport side will have to take the flyover to Pandu and reach the temple by taking the new route.


The construction of this new flyover at Maligaon Chariali is to start within the next 15 to 20 days tentatively, said Sarma.
