GUWAHATI: In an incident that occurred on Saturday morning hours, one man reportedly jumped off the Saraighat Bridge.
The man has been identified as Sonmoni Kalita, a resident of Mukalmua, Nalbari.
The identified man is a cab driver by profession.
SDRF and NDRF members are currently organising rescue operations to find the person.
Sources suspect that financial burden has compelled the person to take the step.
