GUWAHATI: Guwahati’s Rahul Sekh won the bronze medal at the 56th WBPF Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship/Mr.Asia, 2024.

The event was organised by Datuk Paul Chua in cooperation with Indonesian Bodybuilding Fitness Federation.
The championship was held in Indonesia’s Batam City from August 6 to August 12, and Rahul is the only one from Assam to win a medal apart from being one of 30 medallists from India.
Talking to GPlus, Rahul said, “I have been competing in professional bodybuilding for almost a decade now, winning multiple state and national titles. But, this was my first time competing in an international competition, and to get a podium finish on the first attempt was a dream come true for me. I hope to represent my country and state on many such opportunities in the future.”
The Indian bodybuilding entourage won a total of 10 gold medals, 14 silver, and 6 bronze medals, taking the total medal tally at the event to 30.
