GUWAHATI: Heroin was seized by the Special Task Force (STF), Assam in Khanapara, on May 12.

Based on a tip-off by credible sources, the STF in an operation seized 107 gram of heroin in 77 vials. A cash amount of ₹7220/- and five mobile phones have also been held, believed to have been used in illicit activities.

Additionally, four people have been apprehended in connection with the bust namely Ganesh Patir(aged 24), Sahid Hussain (aged 27), Partha Pratim Medhi (aged 23), and Amar Pradhan (18 years), all of whom have been taken into custody. Further legal formalities have been undertaken.
