GUWAHATI: The police seized heroin and arrested the persons involved in the alleged peddling of the narcotics on May 1 in Fancy Bazaar, Guwahati.

In the raid, a team from the Fancy Bazaar outpost of the Paltan Bazar Police Station seized 16 vials containing 18.67 gram of suspected heroin. In the operation, two individuals were also apprehended.
The apprehended individuals have been identified as Biswajit Boro (24) of Ganeshpara and Rahul Ali (18) of Chenga. Boro was arrested at the 2 No Rail Gate in Lakhtakia, while Ali was apprehended at the 4 No Rail Gate in Fancy Bazar.
Legal actions have been initiated against the accused, and further investigations are underway.
