Guwahati: Handique Girls' College Announces Cut-Off Marks For UG Programmes

GUWAHATI: Handique Girls’ College has officially announced the Undergraduate Course cutoff marks for the upcoming academic year 2023. The cutoff marks vary across different departments and categories, offering students a glimpse into the competitive admission process.

In the Department of English, the cutoff marks for the general category have been set at 90.2%. For OBC candidates, the cutoff stands at 88.4%, while SC candidates require a minimum of 87.6% to secure admission. ST(P) and ST(H) candidates need to attain a score of 82.2% and 81.6%, respectively, to be eligible for admission into the English program.

For the Department of Assamese, the cutoff marks for the general category have been set at 72.2%. OBC candidates require a minimum score of 65.4%, and SC candidates must obtain a minimum of 62.4% to be considered for admission.

In the Department of History, the cutoff marks for the general category are set at 90%. OBC candidates need a minimum of 85.8%, while SC candidates require a score of at least 81.6%. For ST(P) candidates, the cutoff stands at 76.4%, and ST(H) candidates must secure a minimum of 83% to be eligible for admission.

As for the Department of Political Science, the cutoff marks for the general category are set at 93%. OBC candidates need a minimum of 90%, while SC candidates require a score of at least 91%. ST(P) candidates must obtain a minimum of 88%, and ST(H) candidates need to secure 81.4% to be considered for admission.

The Department of Psychology has set the cutoff marks at 92% for the general category. OBC candidates need a minimum of 91%, while SC candidates require a score of at least 81%. ST(P) candidates must obtain a minimum of 83%, and ST(H) candidates need to secure 69% to be eligible for admission.

In the Department of Hindi, the cutoff marks for the general category have been set at 75%. OBC candidates require a minimum score of 65%, and SC candidates must obtain a minimum of 65% to be considered for admission. ST(P) candidates need to secure 45%, while ST(H) candidates must obtain a minimum of 71% to be eligible for admission.

For the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in Mathematics, the cutoff marks have been set at 63%.

In the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) program, the Department of Botany has set the cutoff marks at 85% for the general category. OBC candidates require a minimum score of 78%, while SC candidates need to secure a minimum of 76% to be considered for admission. ST(P) candidates must obtain a minimum of 82%, and ST(H) candidates need a minimum of 81% to be eligible for admission.

For the Department of Chemistry, the cutoff marks for the general category have been set at 91%. OBC candidates require a minimum score of 85%, while SC candidates need to secure a minimum of 83% to be considered for admission. ST(P) candidates must obtain a minimum of 79%, and ST(H) candidates need to secure 74% to be eligible for admission.

In the B.Sc program in Mathematics, the cutoff marks have been set at 76% for the general category. OBC candidates require a minimum score of 66%, while SC candidates need to secure a minimum of 73% to be considered for admission. ST(P) candidates must obtain a minimum of 71% to be eligible for admission.

For the B.Sc in Physics, the cutoff marks for the general category have been set at 82%. OBC candidates require a minimum score of 75%, while SC candidates need to secure a minimum of 75% to be considered for admission. ST(P) candidates must obtain a minimum of 68%, and ST(H) candidates need a minimum of 69% to be eligible for admission.
