Guwahati: Geetanagar Resident Dies In Kamakhya Gate Accident

 

GUWAHATI: A horrific multi-vehicle collision was reported in Guwahati’s Kamakhya Gate area on Tuesday afternoon, February 22, where one person succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased person has been identified as one Prashant Saxena, aged 29 years, a resident of the Geetanagar area in Guwahati, police said.

Saxena was immediately shifted to a city hospital where he was declared brought dead. 

According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened after a speeding Ford Endeavour collided with an Alto and a standing motorcycle. 

As per police sources, three persons named Jyotirmoy  Das, aged 30 years, Munmun Talukdar, aged 27 years, and Dipankar Das, aged 44 years, also sustained injuries in the accident. They have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. 

The driver of the offending vehicle, identified as Sahil Hussain has been apprehended by the Jalukbari Police. All the vehicles involved in the accident have been brought to the Police Station for further necessary action. Additionally, a case has been registered in this regard.
