GUWAHATI: The Geetanagar Police in Guwahati arrested one person for sexually assaulting his own 14-year-old daughter.
According to the police, an FIR was filed by the mother against her husband after knowing that he sexually assaulted the minor daughter. As such, Babun Sharma was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, or POCSO Act.
According to the complaint, the accused has been assaulting his daughter for the past two years. G Plus spoke to Dipul Boro, officer-in-charge of Geetanagar police station, who confirmed the matter.
